Would you trust AI to plan your next trip?

This family is letting AI plan their next 6 trips and documenting the results along the way!

Influencers Michael Motamedi and Vanessa Salas are handing the reigns to GeekGuide’s AI for the next 6 months as they travel the world with their 18-month-old daughter.

While it might seem a bit out there, this experiment is something we expect to become a lot more commonplace. While today a family might rely on a travel agent, word of mouth, or months of research to pick the perfect destination for a vacation, AI is making it possible to plan an interesting and exciting trip with just a couple of simple prompts.

The family will choose a new destination each month by simply indicating a few of the things they’d like to do or see. Here are some examples of things they might tell the AI they’re looking for 👇️ 

• Stunning beaches, history, and beautiful architecture 🏛️ 

• Big city, safe for children, delicious pastries 🥐 

• Remote, mountains, lakes, and picturesque hiking ⛰️ 

Once they’ve prompted the AI, they’ll pick their spot, book their travel and document the journey in a series called No Fixed Address.

So what were the results?

Destination number 1 is Marocco for 1 month! After adding that they were interested in beaches, architecture, and markets, the AI gave them a list of 5 countries and they selected the place they’d never been to get truly authentic results.

Next, they had to pick a city, they asked for recommendations and chose the first on the list, Marrakech. Then they asked what other city they should choose and for the next 2 weeks, they’ll be in Fes.

They are thrilled with the outcome and they’ll be documenting their stays in each destination through Michael’s TikTok.
